SnapPod works on any smartphone except for flip phones. It attaches magnetically to MagSafe-compatible smartphones and a magnetic sticker is provided for non-MagSafe ones.
Step 1: Assemble the SnapPod
Attach the SnapPod leg to the SnapPod head by aligning the screw threads and firmly twisting the leg clockwise into the designated slot on the SnapPod head.
Step 2: Adjust the tiltable head.
a. Find the angle adjustment knob, it is positioned between the SnapPod leg and the SnapPod head.
b. Turn the angle adjustment knob in a counterclockwise direction. This action will loosen the tilt mechanism, allowing you to adjust the tilt of the SnapPod head.
c. With the angle adjustment knob loosened, tilt the SnapPod head up or down, left or right to achieve the desired angle. You can do this by holding the SnapPod leg and gently moving the SnapPod head.
d. Once you have set the desired tilt angle, rotate the angle adjustment knob clockwise tightly. This will tighten the tilt mechanism, securing the SnapPod at the chosen angle and preventing it from unintentional movement.
Step 3: Attach the SnapPod to your smartphone.
a. For MagSafe-compatible smartphones: Attach the SnapPod directly to the back of your phone. It will snap into place securely.
b. For non-MagSafe smartphones: Attach the provided magnetic sticker to either the back of your smartphone or at the back of your phone case. Once the magnetic sticker is attached, place the SnapPod on top of the magnetic sticker. It will snap into place either on the phone or the phone case, depending on where you attached the sticker.
Step 4: Your SnapPod is now ready to use.
a. Using SnapPod as a tripod: Find a stable surface, and make sure it is level and sturdy to prevent any wobbling or tipping when using it. Place the SnapPod on a flat tabletop or on the ground.
b. Using SnapPod as a selfie stick: If you're holding it in your hand, ensure a firm grip to maintain stability throughout the photo-taking process.
*Please note that the SnapPod height is fixed and non-extendable, however, its magnetic head is detachable from its legs so you have the option to mount it to another tripod.
Tips and Tricks: The SnapPod doesn't have a shutter button. However, if you own a SnapGrip, you can use it as your shutter while your smartphone is attached to the SnapPod. Alternatively, you can set a timer on your smartphone when using the SnapPod as a selfie stick.
