To help you troubleshoot the pairing issue with your SnapGrip and phone, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Power on the SnapGrip.
Press the shutter button once to turn on the SnapGrip. Look for a blinking blue LED on the SnapGrip, indicating that the device is powered on and ready for pairing.
Step 2: Reset Connection.
Locate the connection reset pin for SnapGrip. Insert the pin into the reset hole and hold it for a few seconds until the blue LED light on the SnapGrip starts blinking. The blinking blue LED light confirms that the SnapGrip's connection has been reset and it's ready to pair with your phone.
Step 3: Check Phone Settings.
Ensure that your smartphone's Bluetooth is turned on and set to discoverable mode. Navigate to your phone's Bluetooth settings and search for nearby Bluetooth devices to find and pair with "ShiftCam SnapGrip".
Step 4: Forget and Re-Pair.
If you've previously paired the SnapGrip with your phone, go to your phone's Bluetooth settings and "Forget" the SnapGrip. Turn off Bluetooth on your phone and restart your phone to refresh the Bluetooth connection. After restarting your phone, try to pair the SnapGrip again as a new device by following the pairing instructions provided in the Getting Started with your SnapGrip article.
Step 5: Contact Support.
If the issue persists after trying the above steps, we recommend contacting our customer support for further assistance. Submit a request to the support team and provide a video demonstrating the issue by showing that you've followed the steps provided above. This can help the support team better understand the problem and provide appropriate guidance or initiate a replacement if necessary.
